The Grand Prix of Mosport 2007 Corvette Corral
Sunday noon we joined with 93 other Corvettes as we drove 3 laps around the track in the Corvette Corral Parade Laps. This is a terrific experience for anyone that has not had the opportunity. When we returned to the Corral we were treated to a catered lunch. All during this event there were draws for Hot Laps in the Official Pace Car and many guest speakers. On Sunday the Celebrity Choice Plaques were handed out to the winners and Gordon Wilson gave the Presidents Choice Trophy to an Indiana couple with highly modified Z06 with more than 600HP. The Corvette Forum “Un-Club” crowd earned the Jay Connery Memorial Award for the largest club participation, a well deserved honour for a group of true enthusiasts.
All this was happening amongst lots of great racing going on at the track. What with all the great Corvette fans around creating new friendships, greeting old friends, watching races, walking the pits, listening to the guest speakers and ducking the traditional ALMS Mosport rain downpour there was no time to spare. This is a three day event and it takes all three days to enjoy it.
