The fixed-roof Z06 coupe isn’t just the most powerful production Corvette. It’s the highest-performance GM production vehicle in history. Race-inspired features include a 7.0-litre, 505-horsepower LS7 small-block V8 with dry-sump lubrication, a Z06-exclusive lightweight aluminum frame with a magnesium roof structure and engine cradle, massive disc brakes and carbon-fibre body panels. The Z06’s power-to-weight ratio is superior to the Dodge Viper’s, Ferrari F430’s and Lamborghini Gallardo’s. Long story short: the Z06 is a supercar.

The available DVD-based navigation system* includes a bright 165 mm (6.5 in.) colour screen and a voice-recognition feature. The system can be configured to provide navigation information on-screen, verbally or via the Head-up Display.

For 2010 Corvette’s standard 6-speed manual transmission has been modified for reduced shift effort, better gate-to-gate location, more positive feel and even more precise gear changes.

Head-Up Display (HUD) with street and track modes projects speed, engine rpm, g-force data, fuel levels and more on the windshield.

Cast aluminum flat-top pistons, titanium connecting rods, an 11.0:1 compression ratio and the highest-lift cam ever on a GM production small-block V8: just a few of the LS7 engine’s high performance features.

The Active Handling System constantly monitors for, and helps control, lateral skids.

New electronic key fob stows easily in your pocket. Push-button start eliminates the need to handle a key.
