Race-inspired features include a 7.0-litre, 505-horsepower LS7 small-block V8 with dry-sump lubrication, a Z06-exclusive
lightweight aluminum frame with a magnesium roof structure and engine cradle, massive disc brakes and carbon-fibre body
panels. The Z06’s power-to-weight ratio is superior to the Dodge Viper’s, Ferrari F430’s and Lamborghini Gallardo’s.

The available DVD-based navigation system* includes a bright 165 mm (6.5 in.) colour screen and a voice-recognition feature. The system can be configured to provide navigation information on-screen, verbally or via the Head-up Display.
For 2011 Corvette’s standard 6-speed manual transmission has been modified for reduced shift effort, better gate-to-gate location, more positive feel and even more precise gear changes.
